Diamond Blades

Brevetti Montolit Spa has been a leading player for over 30 years in the field of diamond tools for cutting and processing porcelain stoneware, ceramic, marble, granite, glass and all other stone materials. It can be said that Montolit was the first professional tile cutter manufacturer in the world to introduce diamond blades and cutters into its range.

Over the years, following the development in building materials and the evolution of construction technologies, we have come to design and produce super-performance diamond tools capable of handling virtually any natural or artificial material such as the new, extremely hard ceramics even when dry.

Today, Montolit professional diamond tools are known and appreciated in over 100 countries. With the advent of porcelain stoneware, the fitter needs specific, high-performance diamond blades.

The multitude of tiles and special processes, increasingly demanded by engineers and architects, requires in almost all cases, dedicated solutions. This is why Montolit’s range of diamond tools is so wide, and it is always possible to ask Montolit technicians for advice on the correct type of blade for a specific job.

But how did a new diamond disc originate? Montolit develops its diamond blades in cooperation with the end user and major ceramic companies. An intense and daily dialogue between our technicians and the main market players allows us to launch new diamond blades every 6 months to solve cutting problems related to the latest tile generations.

Going into detail about the product range, the main diamond blade families are developed for cutting ceramic, porcelain stoneware, vitrified tiles, granite, marble, travertine, glass tiles and mosaic, natural stone, concrete, asphalt and fibreglass.

Another product that is becoming very popular is the mixed mosaic composed of alternating tiles of ceramic, glass, stone, aluminium, steel, porcelain, granite or marble. Montolit has also created a range of diamond blades specifically for this particular product.

The DNA line of diamond blades is now our top of the range, with 30% to 60% higher performance than other diamond blades on the market.

DNA technology (organised diamond arrangement) makes it possible to produce diamond tools in which diamonds are present in the exact quantity and best geometric arrangement for a given material.

Montolit produces two main macro types of diamond blades.

  • Diamond discs for water use
  • Diamond discs dry use

All diamond products we manufacture are suitable for use on various tools (angle grinders and electric tile cutters) available in over 100 countries around the world.

The subfamilies of diamond blades are as follows:

  • Continuous rim diamond discs
  • Diamond segmented discs
  • Turbo diamond discs
  • New generation hybrid diamond discs

Within the wide range of products there are super professional, essential and premium level lines that meet the needs of different targets in different markets.

Montolit also acts as a technical partner for manufacturing companies, construction companies and individual professionals. Montolit’s laboratories are available to analyse specific problems related to innovative materials and quickly develop new diamond blades capable of cutting these materials.
