Some tools become a benchmark over time. Not only because they work well, but because they evolve alongside the work of those who use them every day. Masterpiuma has long been one of those tools: a manual tile cutter recognised by professionals for its precision, reliability and practicality on site.
With the new Masterpiuma P5 ITALICA, Montolit introduces a major evolution of its most iconic machine, also created to celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary.
This is not simply an aesthetic update, but a deeply rethought project, with technical solutions developed to meet the needs of today’s installers and the demands of new ceramic formats, which are increasingly large, resistant and complex to work with.
The first element: its visual identity.
The new Technology Blue & Passion Red colour combination, inspired by Montolit’s historic colours, makes the machine instantly recognisable.
It is a direct reference to the brand’s Italian heritage, but also to its ability to look ahead through innovation, research and a strong focus on real work in the field.
The structure of the P5 ITALICA has been completely redesigned.
The new monolithic base, manufactured from a single mould, increases rigidity and stability during cutting while reducing the overall weight of the machine by approximately 2 kg.
The result is a tile cutter that is more solid when precision is required, yet easier to transport and handle across different site conditions.
The range has also been better adapted to today’s needs.
The new 81 cm and 101 cm models extend the machine’s range of use, while the 101 cm version introduces rear wheels, already appreciated on larger models, making movement more practical and immediate.
Precision remains one of the central aspects of the project.
The new 17 cm front stopping system provides greater support for repetitive cuts, while on the 131 and 161 models the integrated counter-square allows more accurate control of cutting lengths at both the head and tail of the tile.
These are technical details, but for professionals who work every day with minimal margins for error, they make a real difference.
On the larger models, Montolit has also integrated the ATLAS system directly into the structure of the machine.
When in position, it helps during the breaking phase; when extended, it provides external support for slabs, making large-format tile handling safer and more stable.
It is a solution designed to reduce interruptions and better support the installer during the most delicate operations.
At the heart of the Masterpiuma P5 ITALICA, however, is the new scoring handle.
The handle has been redesigned to offer improved ergonomics and more natural control, while the five ball bearings, adjustable on three axes, improve smoothness and adaptation to different thicknesses.
The new titanium wheel increases from 14 to 18 mm in diameter and integrates an internal bearing, reducing friction and making scoring smoother even on the most challenging materials.
Another significant innovation is the laser pointer, supplied as standard on the 131 and 161 models.
Movable, USB-C rechargeable and tool-free to install, it slides along the entire machine to improve visibility on large-format tiles.
The Masterpiuma P5 ITALICA has therefore been created as a machine designed for the modern professional: more robust, precise, ergonomic and ready to meet the challenges of modern ceramic materials.
With this new version, Montolit is not only celebrating an important anniversary.
It is confirming a design approach built on experience, listening to the needs of the jobsite and applied innovation.
Because the evolution of a tool is not measured only by its technical features, but by its ability to make everyday work more precise, smoother and more reliable.
